Lorin Latarro Choreographed THE WHO’S TOMMY at the Goodman Theatre!

“Now, 30 years after first coming to the stage, THE WHO’S TOMMY is being reimagined for a whole new generation, re-teaming the original Tony Award-winning creative duo of Pete Townshend (music, lyric, book) and director Des McAnuff (book) for a modernized take, now in previews at the Goodman Theatre’s Albert Theatre… McAnuff recruited award-winning choreographer Lorin Latarro (“Into The Woods,” “Waitress”) to work alongside the 29-member cast and nine-piece live band to help develop the physical flow. Latarro, who purposefully refrained from watching the original reference material, said she was focused on a “contemporary movement vocabulary” in order to make the story feel as if it fit in any era.” – The Chicago Sun-Times

“The National Ballet of Canada opened its run of Romeo & Juliet on the weekend in Toronto with two pairs of stellar dancers… the company convinced powerhouse ballerina Sara Mearns, a long-time principal at New York City Ballet, to dance the role for the first time. The high-point of this two-week run will undoubtedly be Mearns, a 37-year-old veteran who stuns audiences with her portrayal of the most famous teenage girl in the Western canon.” – The Globe and Mail

BroadwayWorld Review: World Premiere of DOUBLE HELIX, Directed by Scott Schwartz!

“Wonderfully directed by Bay Street’s Artistic Director Scott Schwartz, the extraordinary cast is headed up by Samantha Massell portraying Rosalind. Indeed, Ms. Massell delivers Rosalind’s tough, straightforward demeanor flawlessly. We follow Rosalind as she encounters misogyny, antisemitism and uses these as her fuel to figure out what life is. Rosalind is certainly a force to be reckoned with… And so, the Bay Street Theatre certainly has another hit on their hands with this stellar production of Double Helix.” – BroadwayWorld
